What we collect
When you use the contact form, we receive the details you enter:
- your name and company
- your email address
- what you need help with, and your message
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically keeps short technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to keep the site secure and working.
If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay and the type of device you use.
Why we use it
- To answer your message and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal. This is based on your request and on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
- To keep the website secure. This is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors.
- To improve the website through Google Analytics. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don't use your details for anything else, we don't add you to a mailing list without asking, and we never sell personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the website and handle email, such as our hosting provider. They may use the data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. Where a provider is based outside the European Economic Area, we only work with them when appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If you allow analytics cookies, Google processes data about your visit on our behalf. Google may transfer this data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We have switched off Google's options to use this data for its own purposes or for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your message and contact details for as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up, and no longer than two years after our last contact. If we start working together, we keep what the law requires us to keep for our administration. Technical logs are deleted automatically after a short period. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses two kinds of cookies:
- Functional cookies, which the site needs to work, such as remembering your cookie choice. These don't need your consent.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which help us understand how the site is used. We only place these after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner.
We don't use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time via cookie settings.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you
- have it corrected or deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive it in a format you can take elsewhere
To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact form or by post. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Our products
Products we build, such as HabitCrab, have their own privacy policy, which explains how that product handles your data.
Changes
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
